Riyen’s Mom & # 2 due 4.20.2 asked:

I’m making my family each gift baskets, and I’m wanting to spend atleast $50.00 on each. Any ideas on what would be a good to put in a meet and cheese basket for my dad? I just don’t know where to find the cheeses and meats and what are the best to use.

put in smoked sausage, like a beef stick or summer sausage, maybe 1/2 pound stick, pre-wrapped smoked and cheddar cheeses. some nice crackers, maybe club whole grain and maybe some some flavored crackers. throw in a hand full of assorted hard candies and maybe a small bottle of table wine

Put shelf stable meats such as summer sausage, peporini, dry salami etc…

There are a few shelf stable cheeses that aren’t as tack y easy cheese, but I can’t think of any names, but a wedge of a nice sharp chedder or what ever. If you go some where with a Cheese Monger tell him what meats you have and he can recomend cheese and even a cracker or bread to go with it.

Add in a loaf of crusty bread, a small cheese cutting board with knife set and so on.
